Possible Answer: The point system used in the CRAAP Test is used to verify and gauge the reliability of a source you use. Ten points are given to each of the 5 sections that make up the word CRAAP(Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, Purpose) and points are taken away based on if the sources do not fit a criteria(For example, taking away points from Currency if a source doesn't have the date it was posted at). Add up the scores from the 5 topics and if the score is 30 or more, the source is useable; however, good sources usually require the score to be close to 40.
