US Court of Appeals further reduced damages but held that Samsung was guilty of infringing Apple's designs

May 24, 2018

Federal jury decided that Samsung owed $533M (less than 50% of the original verdict for damages)

2016

Supreme Court accepted Writ of Certiorari filed by Samsung ruling on issue of damages test

2017

Supreme Court ruling found that the infringment only applied to specific aspects of the products and it was remanded back down to US Federal Court (basically a "win" for Samsung)

2013

There was a retrial; total verdict of damages reduced to $900M against Samsung
