Va
Design maneuvering speed. The maximum speed you can fully deflect the controls and not do damage to the airplane.
Vx
Speed for best angle of climb Speed provides most altitude and shortest distance-slower.
V1
Takeoff Decision Speed Decision pilots make changes the speed. Engine cut off and still have time to stop on runway.
Vsi
Stall speed or minimum steady flight speed obtained in a specified configuration. Stall speed in specified conditions.
Vso
Stall speed or minimum steady flight speed obtained in landing configuration. Flaps down, landing gear down, lowest speed you can go.
Vfe
Maximum Flap Extended Speed Maximum speed you could go with the flaps out to have them not break.
Vle
Maximum Landing Gear Extended Speed The maximum speed you can go with the landing gear down.
Vno
Maximum speed for normal ops. Speed range, speed for normal operation, above stall, below va.
Vmca
Min control speed with critical engine out, out of ground effect.
Vmc
Minimum control speed with critical engine inoperative The lowest speed you can go with one engine out.
Vne
Never-exceed speed (red line) If you go over a speed, the red line, parts with fly off.
Vy
Speed for best rate of climb. Most altitude in shortest distance.
