1. Dropping a steel ball and a beach Ball. Conclude how the street ball will drop faster than the beach ball. Analyze the conclusion. Analyze the experiment and how does it apply to the laws of physics?

#2 The student's conclusion about the experiment is not valid because they do not consider all the factors. According to the laws of physics, all objects drop to the floor at the same rate due to gravitational force Air resistance would validate this experiment, but the student did not record any variable. The steel ball and beach ball fell in reaction to gravity. The force of gravity causes all objects to fall at the same rate. In this experiment, the beach ball took longer than the steel ball because of air and wind, so there is one factor as to why this conclusion is invalid.

Shoe store must buy 3 pairs of shoes. Store A 1st regular price, 2nd half price off, 3rd 10% off. Store B 1rst 20% off 2nd 25% off, and 3rd 33% off. Store C buy two at regular price and get one free. You pick the price of shoes except they are the same at each store. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the sales.

Store C- Hypothetically, the cost of one pair is $100. Second pair is half off which is 50.00. The third pair is 10% off which is 90/.00. The total of the store A is 240.00. At store B first pair is 20%off which is 80. Pair 2 is 25 % off which is 75.00 Pair 3 is 1/3 (33% off) total of $67.00 for a total of 222.00. At store C thier sale is buy two get one free. If each pairs is 100.00 then the total cost for all three pairs $200.00 Finally, it appears that the better of the three sales going on is at stor C. Because you get the buy 2 get one free makes each pair $66 ea. Whereas store A 2 of the 3 pairs of shoes where discounted to 60.00 then average out to 80.00 a pair. In the store B even though all three pairs discounted the discount price came to 78.00 a pair. Therefore, store C is the lowest for the avaerage of 66 a pair of shoes.

(Lungs)Respiratory and Circulatory System: Discuss the lungs purpose, anatomy, and internal structure...

The main function of the lungs is the process of gas exchange called respiration. In respiration, oxygen from incoming air enters the blood and carbon dioxide leaves the blood. This includes nose, mouth, pharynx, epiglottis, trachea, larynx, alveoli, bronchi, bronchiole and the lungs. As we breathe in through the nose, the nasal cavity warms and wets the air to protect irritation to the lungs. The circulatory system consists of three independent systems that work together: the heart, lungs, arteries and veins. The system is responsible for the flow of blood, nutrients and oxygen. Lungs are a pair of organs located on either side of the thorax. The trachea inhaled air into the lungs through the bronchi. The bronchi then divides into smaller branches (bronchioles), finally becoming microscopic. The bronchioles end in clusters of microscopic air sacs called alveoli. In the alveoli, oxygen from the air is absorbed into the blood. Carbon dioxide travels from the blood to the alveoli, where it can be exhaled. Internally, the lungs are covered by a thin tissue layer called the pleura. A thin layer of fluid acts as a lubricant allowing the lungs to slip smoothly as they expand and contract with each breath.

1. Two friends own a crafts business making placemats and table runners. It takes 1 hour to make 1 placemat and it takes ½ an hour to make one table runner. Combined they will only spend 16 hours per day working. Only 20 items will be made per day. Create two inequalities, graph the inequalities, and indicate intersections of two lines on a graph

To solve this system of inequalities I first set my variables. Then, I set up my two inequalities. I will graph using x and y-intercepts. First, they do not want to make more than 20 runners and placemats a day, therefore t+p<or=20. Also, they don't want to work more than 16 hours in total. That will be the amount of time to make 1 runner and 1 placemat or 1t+1/2p<or=16. Next, I draw the x(t)/y(p) plane graph. If T=0 then p<or=20. I can graph using coordinates (0,20). I will do the same to the opposite side (20,0) then I can connect the two points. My next point will be (32,0). I use the distributive property to get the inequality 2t+1p<or=32. Next, I plug in 0 for p. I then divide 2t and 32 by 2 which shows t<or=16. I start at 0 on x-axis and go to 16 then plot and connect 32 on the p-axis to the 16 on the t-axis. When shading to show overlap, I must only shade the portion beneath both lines.
