What is a square root?

A square root is a number multiplied by itself to equal a number. Also if you divide the product of the square root by its square root you should get its square root.

Define a composite number

A whole number that can be divided evenly by numbers other than one and itself.

Define a prime number

A whole number that can only be divided without a remainder by itself and one.

How do you convert fractions to percents

Divide the numerator by the denominator, move the decimal 2 place to the right (multiply by 100)

Please show your work for all questions, make sure you are doing it the correct way!

Do it on scrap paper, the method is just as important as the answer!

Divisible try rule for 1

Every number.

When finding mean, median, mode and range order numbers from least to greatest

For full marks!!

What does GCF stand for?

Greatest common factor

Decreasing order

Highest to lowest

Divisibility rule for 4

If the last 2 digits are divisible by 4

Divisibility rule for 5

If the last digit is 5 or 0

Divisibility rule for 10

If the number ends in a 0

Divisibility rule for 6

If the number is divisible by both 2 and 3

Divisibility rule for 2

If the number is even.

Divisibility rule for 9

If the sum of digits are divisible by 9.

Divisibility rule for 3

If the sum of the digits are divisible by 3

List the composite numbers from 1-100

Know prime, then can use prime factorization to find factors

Where do we use prime and composite numbers in grade 7?

LCM, GCF and square roots

What does LCM stand for?

Lowest common multiple

Increasing order

Lowest to highwst

Define mean

Mean is the average, to find the mean add up all numbers in a set of numbers then divide that sum by the amount of numbers you added up or by the number of numbers in that set of numbers.

Find the mean, median, mode and range of this set of numbers 6,18,49,97,102 It is already in order but they won't always be.

Mean- 54.2 Mode- no mode Median-51 Range-96

What is the opposite of a square root?

Squaring a number

What are these examples of? 584 000 000 84 000 000 72 000 740 000

Standard form

Define range

The difference between the lowest and highest value in a set of numbers,. To find the range take the highest number in set then subtract the lowest value in a set of numbers from the highest value, the answer is the range.

Divisibility rule for 8

The last 3 digits are a number divisible by 8.

Define median

The median is the middle number in a set of numbers. To find the median put all of the numbers in order from least to greatest. If there is an even amount of numbers take the two middle numbers then find the mean of them by adding them up and dividing that sum by two. If there is an odd amount of numbers there is a true middle number, therefore that is the median.

Define mode

The mode is the value that appears most often in a set of numbers. There can be more than one mode. If all values show up the same amount of times there is no mode write "no mode"

What is the LCM?

The smallest positive number that is a multiple of all numbers in a set.

What is the point of scientific notation?

To express really big/small numbers with lots of zeros in a simpler from and not risk forgetting a zero or a few zeroes.

Why halve and double, when multiplying?

You can half one number and double the other to make the numbers more manageable.

Divisibility rule for 7

You double the last digit and subtract the sum from the rest of the number and if the answer is 0 or divisible by 7 the total number is divisible by 7.

How do you halve and double?

You halve on number and double the other nu bed when multiplying Eg. 10x4 20x2 40x1 40
