401.62 Subject to paragraph 401.69(e), no holder of a Class 4 flight instructor rating — helicopter shall exercise the privileges accorded by that rating unless the holder: a) b)

(a) is conducting the training in accordance with a flight training unit operator certificate; and (b) is under the supervision of a supervising instructor of the flight training unit.

The holder of a Class __ or Class __ flight instructor rating — helicopter shall supervise the holder of a Class 4 flight instructor rating — helicopter in accordance with the personnel licensing standards.

A person who conducts flight training in any category of aircraft, where the trainee does not hold a pilot permit or pilot licence for that category, or conducts a flight review, shall: 1. 2.

1. Have a flight instructor rating for the category of aircraft used for the training 2. Have experience of not less than 10 hours flight time on the type of helicopter used for the training.

Instructor Flight Test Admission Requirements:

1. Photo identification with signature 2. CPL or ATPL in same category with valid medical certificate 3. Proof of completion for: - 250 hrs. helicopter PIC flight time (including 15 hrs. instrument time of which min. 5 hrs. shall be instrument flight time.) - Proof of completed written examination(s) within the previous 24 months - Completed and certified Pilot Training Record (PTR) showing required instructor training complete, after considering applicable credits, in accordance with CAR Standards 421.69, 421.77, 421.91 or 421.92 4. Letter of recommendation, as required, signed within the preceding 30 days by the holder of a valid Class 1 Flight Instructor Rating

421.13(1) For admission to a written examination produce proof of medical fitness: (a) a Medical Certificate in the appropriate medical category; (2) For admission to a written examination, proof of identification shall be required in the form of a permit, licence or other official document bearing the signature and photograph of the candidate.
