Plantarflexion

Extending the foot at the ankle (toes downwards) Joint: Ankle

Dorsiflexion

Flexing the foot at the ankle in the direction of the dorsum (toes upwards) Joints: Ankle

Eversion

Inversion

Hyperextension

A continuation of extension beyond the anatomical position Joint: Neck, shoulder, hip

Flexion

A decrease in the angle between articulating bones Joints: Elbow, knee, shoulder, hip, neck, wrist, ankle phalanges

Extension

An increase in the angle between articulating bones Joints: Elbow, knee, shoulder, hip, neck, wrist, ankle phalanges

Adduction

movement of a bone toward the midline Joints: Shoulder & hip
