Austin was a man who delivered over 300 families and showed their way to Texas. They were some of the first American settlers. Davy Crockett played a role in the Texas War for Independence and lost his life at the Alamo.

The Gadsden Purchase was a purchase that included southern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico.

They wanted to get Annexed into the nations, but the government was reluctant because it could disrupt free and slave state balance.
