Hardware
All the metal elements that are part of a bag They can be functionali like D-ring, the magnete, feet or rivets, or decorative like studs, zip-puller or logo plaquette. Usually in a brass or metal alloy they need to go through a galvanic process to take a kind of finishing, like gold, silver, and so on
Borsa a spalla (Shoulder Bag)
Any bag that is held on shoulder and under the arm. They are generally small and very stylish.
Can be internal or external and can be decorative or functional

Gausset
In a triangular or rectangular shape, it is positined on the side of the front panel. The purpose is to give more body to the bag
Hobo
It can be a large or small size bag. It's a shoulder bag with one or two handles. Generally it has easy closure to open
Shopper Bag
It is a rectangular bag with double handle, open at the top and with a single compartment
Pochette (Clutch)
It is a relatively small bag, generally of rectangular shape, without handle. It is held in the hand or under the arm, against the body. Sometimes he has a lace to hold it on the wrist. It is considered an evening bag
Drop
It is the measument for handles and straps and it is measured from the top high of the handle to the top of the body of the bag
Lining- what is it used on
It is usually in fabric, but can be also in leather.
Base
It rappresents the bottom of the bag, usually the part that touch the floor. To protect it, it might have the feets
Bauletto (Barrel Bag)
It's a bag much like the duffle shape, but smaller. It has a double handle. Usually it has a zipper in length as closure.
Sacca (Duffle Bag)
It's a military derivation bag. The structure is generally cylindrical, with round bases. Usually It has two handles. It's a travel bag
Boston/Weekend Bag
It's a rectangular bag with two handles, it is worn on arm or in hand. Some Boston have a slightly wider bottom compared the upper part. The opening is often zipped. It can have shoulder strap or not.
Marsupio (Bum bag)
It's a small bag that is worn around the waist
Baguette
It's a small leather bag or fabric bag with a magnet closure. Rectangular, has a short shoulder strap,
Cartella (Satchell)
Similar to a work bag, the folder has one short handle and a rigid flat base. The upper part opens generally with a flap and two buckles.

Kelly Bag
The Kelly bag was designed by Robert Dumas in the 1930s and was originally called 'sac a courroie pour dames' meaning 'bags with straps for ladies'. The bag was made infamous by the actress Grace Kelly when in 1956 she used the bag to hide her pregnancy from the paparazzi. Photographs of this beautiful bag were on covers of magazines around the world making it an overnight sensation. Hence it was renamed the "Kelly" bag.
Doctor Bag
The contemporary version of the 19° and early 20° century doctor ba. The bag has a short handle, rigid clasp or buckle opening and a soft but durable pouch bag often reinforced with flaps

Usually an extention of the back pannel or a separated piece, start from the back and comes on the front part, generally with a sort of closure

(4 of) strap of leather worn over the shoulder to carry bag. the strap is made in two sections of two layers (for strength and appearance), hence the 4 components
