Define: Relational Database programs
A database program that permits users to determine relationships between two or more dissimilar databases. For example, a relational database program would enable a reporter to compare one database of people convicted of drunken driving with another database of school-bus drivers. The result would show how many bus drivers have drunk-driving convictions.
Define: Flat-File Databases
A simple database program that allows users to keep track of almost any type of data. For example, a simple address book.
Define: Macroediting + give examples
Looks at the big picture. -Will readers understand this? -Are there unanswered questions or inconsistencies in the story? -Does this agree with what I know from previous stories on the subject?
Define: Microediting + give examples
The process of paying attention to detail. -Are the facts correct? -Are the names spelled correctly? -Is the grammar sound?
