The national commission on law Observance and Enforcement. In 1931, the commission issues a report stating that Prohibition was unenforceable and carried a great potential for police corruption.

A now defunct federal agency established under Title 1 of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to funnel federal funding to state and local law enforcement agencies.
