Energy from sun converted into electricity. One common method of generating solar power is to install solar panels on rooftop of buildings or houses. These panels consists of dark-coloured, heat-absorbing semi conductor plates stored in glass-covered boxes. In countries with abundant sunlight like Australia, more households use solar panels. Some households use both solar power and oil-generated electricity as it is difficult to store solar power. Renewable energy is also cheaper and more economically sound in the long run than other sources of generated energy.
