Why were citizens of Rome so drawn to Christianity?

From then on he spent his life spreading and interpreting Christ's teachings. Paul wrote influential letters (Epistles) to groups of believers. Paul stressed that Jesus was the son of God who died for people's sins. He declared the Christian converts were not obligated to follow Jewish law. This was the universality that enables Christianity to become more than just a local religion.
