4 basic methods for making transformations

compund shape
Two or more paths that are combined in such a way that holes appear where ever paths overlaps
free transform
applies an eight handled bounding box to selected image
pathfinders
are goood for creating complex or irregular shapes from basic shapes
add to shape area
conberts two or more oberlapping objects into a single merged object
outline stroke command
converts a stroked path into a closed path that is same width as the original striked path
offset path command
creates a copy of a selected path set off by a specified distance
intersect shape area
creates a single merged object from the area where two or more objects oberlap
divide
dibides an object into its component filled faces
transform panel
displays info about the size, orintation and location of one or more selected objects
reflect
flips objects across axis good form tracing symmetrical object like a spoon
transform each
good for transforming multiple objects individually
pathfinders
group of present operations that help you combine paths in a variety of ways
Shear tool
hidden behind scale tool shears at an angle
clippin mask
in object menu window through which you view some or all the objects behind the makd in stackin order like putting a picture inside text
x and y coordinates
indicates objects horizontal and vertical locations on artboard
align panel
offers a quick and simple solution for aligning selected objects along the axis you specify
point of origin
place were all transformation are executed in relation to a fixed point

refers to objects that share the same ceter point
