Quarter Note

a musical note with the time value of a quarter of a whole note or half a half note

Half Note

a note played for half the duration of a whole note and twice the duration of a quarter note

Eighth Notes

a note with the time value of an eighth of a whole note or half a quarter note

Repeat

sounds or sequences that are often repeated

Rhythm

How a sound is placed in time.

Dotted Half Note

A dot after a note increases its duration (length) by half its original value

Whole Rest

A musical notation indicating a silence of a specified duration

Sixteenth Note

A musical note equal in time to 1/16 of a whole note

Quarter Rest

A musical rest having one-fourth the time value of a whole rest

Half Rest

A musical rest having the time value of half a whole rest or equal in duration to two beats in common time

Whole Notes

A note or rest that receives four (4) beats
