A more specialized form of the ER, lacking ribosomes on the outside and producing more specialized parts of the cell.

Rough ER

ER with ribosomes on the sides. Surrounds the Nucleus and produces large amounts of protein.

Golgi Apparatus

Packages, sorts and distributes materials for the cell.

Ribosomes

Small particles of RNA and protein found throughout the cytoplasm. Produce proteins by following coded instructions that come from the nucleus.
