What is healing by second intention?
Infarction, inflammatory ulceration, abscess formation, surface wounds with large defects. More intense inflammatory reaction Formation of a very large amount of granulation tissue Wound contraction

What is healing by first intention?
Wounds with opposed edges - usually only seen in surgery.
What are the six steps of wound healing?
