After Columbus reached America everything changed. each culture developed different and unique traits. Native Americans changed all of their ways of the environment. dry regions- irrigation systems forest regions- set fires for the new way of agriculture.

All within a century Spanish and Portuguese explorers developed colonies that depend on Native and Enslaved Africans for labor in Mining, Agriculture, Metals and etc. Mexico/ South America- Silver- Spain becoming wealthy in the 16th/17th century.

invented by Columbus it was a fast sea route to Asia. Exchange of plants animals people and ideas. Caused spread of disease and became the first global trade network. Because of the Columbian exchange world trade shifts from mediterranean to Atlantic./ Germs in Europe - epidemic in America/ Native population went down by 90% after the European settlement.
