Ragdoll

Takes its name from the floppy posture it has when being handled. Exceptionally large and heavy.

American Shorthair

Also known as the domestic shorthair. 34 recognized colors and patterns, with tabby being the most common.

Scottish Fold

Breed with a natural mutation discovered in Scotland in 1961. Ears are folded over naturally.

Burmese

Cat breed with a sweet disposition and enjoys being held. Sable is a common color for this breed.

Birman

Coat is long and silky. Does not mat and requires little care. Paws are always white.

Abyssinian

Come from several cats that arrived in England in the late 1860's. Most commonly red in color.

Cornish Rex

Curved, rippling hair coat lacks guard hairs. - should not be an outdoor cat.

Siamese

Extraordinarily intelligent, precocious, talkative, loyal, fearless, obstinate, and totally unpredictable. Body color shows very little pigmentation. Darker at the points (mask, ears, tail, and feet)

Sphynx

Hairless breed that cannot survive outdoors. Must be protected from the cold at all times.

Bombay

Jet-black with gold or copper eyes. Developed by crossing a sable Burmese with a black American Shorthair

Maine Coon

Large sized cat breed that is the oldest natural breed in North America.

Persian

Oldest and most popular breed. Believed to be descended from longhaired cats introduced to Italy.
