Bongo

A large herbivorous forest antelope of central Africa. It has a reddish-brown coat with white stripes and spiral horns. This herbivore feeds on tree and bush leaves, bushes, vines, bark of rotting trees, grasses, herbs, roots, shrubs and fruits.

Fishing cat

A medium-sized wild cat of South and Southeast Asia. It is twice the size of a domestic cat. This animal feeds on birds, small mammals, snakes, snails and fish.

Red panda

A small mammal native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China. It has reddish-brown fur and a long shaggy tail. This animal feeds mainly on bamboo, but may also eat eggs, birds, insects, and small mammals.

Fennec fox

A small nocturnal fox found in the Sahara of North Africa. Its most distinctive feature is its unusually large ears, which serve to dissipate heat. This carnivore preys on insects, small mammals and birds.

Barbary sheep

A species of sheep native to the rocky mountains of North Africa. They are a sandy-brown color, which darkens with age, with a slightly lighter underbelly. They feed on grasses, shrubs, flowers, young plants and leaves.

Coyote

These animals are found in Central and North America and grow to the size of a medium dog. They are yellowish brown to tawny grey in colour.Their main prey consists of rabbit, mice and deer.

Corroboree frog

These animals are found in the Snowy Mountains, the Fiery Range and the Brindabella Range. They have lime or yellow and black stripes, which makes them easily identifiable. These frogs mainly feed on beetles, frogs and ants.

Chimpanzee

These animals are found in western and central Africa. They have long black hairs covering their bodies except their face, palms and the soles of their feet. These omnivores are generally fruit and plant eaters, but they also eat insects, eggs, and meat.

Gibbon

These creatures are small, slender, long-armed, tree-dwelling apes. which live in southeast Asia. They mainly eat fruit.

Kookaburra

These kingfishers are native to Australia and New Guinea. They are large with a total length of 28-42 cm. They feed on lizards, snakes, insects, earthworms, fish, frogs,toads, rats and other rodents.

Skunk

These mammals are found in North America, Canada, northern Mexico and Florida. Different species vary in appearance from black and white to brown or cream. They are omnivorous and eat insects, earthworms, grubs, small rodents, lizards, frogs, snakes, birds, eggs and more.

Sun bear

These omnivores live in the dense lowland forests of Southeast Asia. They have a stocky, muscular build, small ears, and a short muzzle. They mainly feed on bees, beehives and honey.

River dolphin

These sea creatures live in rivers, lakes and estuaries in certain parts of the Southern Hemisphere. Their main prey are fish, prawn and frogs. They are normally grey or pink in colour.

Himalayan Tahr

This animal is a relative of the wild goat and is specially adapted to life on the rugged mountain slopes and woodlands of the Himalayas. It mainly feeds on grass, herbs and leaves of shrubs and trees. Its dense, wooly coat is reddish to dark brown.

Condor

This bird inhabits northern Arizona and southern Utah, coastal mountains of central and southern California and northern Baja California. It is a large broad-winged soaring bird which eats carrion.

Komodo dragon

This creature is a large species of lizard found in the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Motang and Padar. It can grow to a maximum length of 3 metres and weigh up to around 150 kilograms. This creature is a carnivore and feeds on carrion.

Snowy owl

This creature is found in the Arctic Circle, Canada, Greenland, Europe and Asia. It has black and white markings on its head and is black, white or grey in colour. It mainly eats lemming, fish and voles.

Dhole

This endangered animal is native to South and Southeast Asia. Its distinctive features include its bushy tail and vocal calls. It preys on deer, rodents and birds.

Arctic hare

This hare is found in the northern regions of the Arctic Circle, Northern America, Europe, Greenland and the North Pole. It has thick, white fur which allows it to continue inhabit in warmth and camouflage. It eats shoots, buds and berries found amongst the snow.

Mountain lion

This lion is one of the biggest species of cat native to the mountains of America. It's coloured fur differs from red to brown to orange. It tends to hunt rabbits, hares, larger birds, deer and elk.

Otter

This mammal lives in riverbanks, lakes and streams. It has a long, slim body and relatively short limbs with webbed paws. This endangered, small carnivore mainly lives on fish.

Meerkat

This mammal lives in the Kalahari Desert, the Namib Desert and in South Africa. It has a long, slender body with a long tail that almost doubles the animal's total length. This creature feeds on insects, lizards, snakes, scorpions, spiders, plants, eggs and more.

Tree kangaroo

This marsupial inhabits the rainforests of Australia, New Guinea, Queensland and nearby islands. It has thick brown or reddish brown fur. It feeds on leaves, flowers, fruits and insects.

Raccoon

This medium sized bear-like mammal is found in North America, Europe and Japan. It is grey and omnivorous, feeding on animals such as fish and the occasional bird.

Flying squirrel

This medium sized rodent is closely related to squirrels. It ranges in size and colour depending on the species of flying squirrel. Flying squirrels mainly feed on nuts, berries and eggs.

Quokka

This small marsupial has long thick shaggy fur normally coloured brown or grey. It lives long grass or shrubland where they make pathways or runways for feeding and escape if disturbed. It feeds at night on native grasses and the leaves of shrubs.

Brazilian tapir

This vulnerable animal is found near water and is a good swimmer and diver. It is dark brown in color and has a low mane. The tapir feeds on leaves, buds, shoots, and small branches.

Binturong

This vulnerable mammal can be found in South and Southeast Asia. It is omnivorous, living on small mammals, birds, fish, earthworms, insects and fruits. The body of this creature is long and heavy and low on the legs. It has a thick fur and strong black hair.
