INTRODUCTION

Raise your hand if you've been to Disney World! I've been to Disney more times than I can count. My family and I are big Disney fans. Over the years, I've gotten really good at planning our family vacations. I even know a few secrets. So, today I'm going to demonstrate how to plan the perfect Disney Vacation!

CONCLUSION

That is how you plan the perfect Disney vacation using My Disney Experience.

BOOKING DINING TRANSITION (3)

The final step in planning a Disney Vacation is picking out your fast passes. They can save you from having to wait in long lines.

BUYING TICKETS 2

The tickets should be automatically linked to your Disney experience and your Magic Band. Your fast passes will also be linked to your Magic Band automatically. You will use your magic band to get into the parks and to get on the rides with your fast pass. It can also be used for purchases if you're staying on site at a Disney Resort Hotel. You really don't want to lose your magic band.

PICKING A DATE 2

There are two special ticketed events that I really like. They cost extra but are well-worth the money because only a select number of guests can be in Magic Kingdom. So, you can get on more rides quicker, without a fast pass. These events are: Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. If you want to go to one of these events, you'll have to plan the dates of your vacation around them.

BOOKING HOTEL 1

This means that if you really wanted to stay at a popular resort and it was all booked up, you could refresh the page and suddenly see that someone canceled their reservation for that resort, and you could quickly snag the room. I've gotten into many popular Disney resorts last-minute using this tactic.

BOOKING FAST PASSES 2

What park do you want to go to today? Someone raise your hand and pick a ride.

BOOKING FAST PASSES 1

You can book 3 fast passes a day at one park of your choice. The parks also have extra magic hours for guests staying on property. The park either opens an hour early or stays open an hour later. This is a good time to get on popular rides quickly and without needing fast passes.

BOOK HOTEL

You can call Disney to book your reservation, but I prefer to book it online, and I'll tell you why: because when someone cancels their reservation it automatically show's up online, but if you call Disney, they don't receive resort changes as quickly.

BOOKING DINING 2

You reserve your table with a credit card, but your card will only be charged if you don't show up. You have to cancel your reservation the day before to avoid being charged $10 a person.

PICKING A DATE

(If you don't already have a My Disney Experience account then you'll have to sign up for one, but it's free and you can download it as an app on your phone). First, we need to pick the perfect time to go to Disney. I like going on Sunday's and weekdays because that's when the parks are less crowded. It's never a good idea to go during peak season or when kids are out of school. It's best to go during a cool time when school is still in session. You will be able to ride more rides and avoid the crowds.

BOOKING FAST PASSES

Because we booked a hotel reservation, we get to do our fast passes up to 60 days in advance of our trip. We get a head start on people who aren't staying at a Disney Resort.

BUYING TICKETS

Disney has a great promotion going on right now for FL Residents: you can buy a 3-day Discovery ticket for only $175 per adult.

PICKING A DATE TRANSITION (3)

For the purpose of this demonstration, we're going to pretend that we're going to Disney on March 28th and checking out on the 31st. Now, we need to buy tickets.

PREVIEW

I'm going to teach you how to use the My Disney Experience website to book dining and resort reservations, buy your tickets and plan your fast passes.

BUYING TICKETS 1

It normally costs $109 to go to one park for one day, so $175 for 3-days at 3 parks is a fantastic deal.

BOOKING DINING

It's easy to book dining reservations online. Calling can take up to a half hour but booking online usually takes less than a minute. Also, there's this little-known discount card called "Tables in Wonderland". You can purchase it at any Disney Theme Park at the ticket desk. It costs $150 but it will get you 20% off your bill at most Disney Restaurants. It lasts for a year. Trust me, it pays for itself.

BOOKING DINING 1

Let's book a reservation for one of my favorite restaurants: Grand Floridian Café. We pick the date, and then the time we want to eat. I like to go there for dinner. You can use your Tables in Wonderland Card for 20% off, too.

BOOKING HOTEL 2

My favorite value resort is Disney's Art of Animation. It has three pools, an extensive food court, and a 24-hour arcade. The rooms are all themed after popular animated Disney movies. The movies you grew up watching as a kid. The little Mermaid Room is about $140-$200 a night, depending on the date that you stay. You also get free transportation to all the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs.

BUYING TICKETS TRANSITION (3)

Now that we have our tickets, we have to pick a resort to stay at and book a reservation.

BOOKING HOTEL TRANSITION (3)

Now, that we have our tickets and resort booked, we need to make some dining reservations.

BOOKING FAST PASSES TRANSITION (3)

Now, when you go into "My Plans" it will list all your dining reservations and fast passes. Your fast passes will automatically be linked to your magic band. Your magic bands will be available for you at your hotel when you check in.
