Ethos
Appeal to credibility. If we believe someone is an authority on the topic and has a "good sense and good moral character," we will be more likely to believe what that person says.
bandwagon advertisements
The commercial tells the view that everyone uses the product to fir in or because they assume if others use it, it must be good!
repetition
advertisement saying the same thing again and again to persuade the audience to buy it
Pathos
appeals to our emotions- love, pity, anger, fear, and hope
logos
appeals to reason- facts, proof, reason, percentages, and evidence
author's claim
argument to support his/ her position or argument
Testimonials
commercial or advertisement featuring an influential person such as a celebrity
argumentative writing
