Direct Instruction or lecture Method
Aimed at helping students acquire procedural knowledge.
Inductive Method
Also called indirect instruction. they begin w/ questions, problems and details.
Research-based approach
As the name implies teaching and learning are anchored on research findings.
Indirect/guided/Exploratory Approach
Best used when the learning process is inquiry-based, the result is discovery and the learning context is a problem.
Peer Tutoring
Commonly employed when the teacher requests the older, brighter and more cooperative member of the class to tutor other classmates.

Cooperative learning
Makes use of a classroom organization where student work in groups or teams to help each other learn.
Partner Learning
A student chooses a partner from among his /her classmates.
Constructivist Approach
In this approach, the learners are expected to construct knowledge and meaning out of what they are taught by connecting them to prior experience.
Direct teaching Approach
In this approach, the teacher tells or shows or demonstrates what is to be taught.
Project Method
In this method, the students solve a practical problem over period of several days or weeks.
Inquiry Method
Providing students opportunities to explore, inquire and discover new learnings.
