a maangement function which compares organizational and individual performance with predetermined standards or expected results
After care (Post need Services)
also known as after care; follow-up services services provided by a funder service org that occur after final disposition
Emergency
an unforeseen combination of circumstances that result in a need for immediate action
Goals
broad statements about what an organization wants to achieve; developed in the strategic planning process; they form the basic plan or direction toward which decisions & activities are focused. (goals are motivational in nature & are usually stated in broad, general terms without reference to a time period)

Human recourse management (personnel management)
process of acquiring, traning, developing, motivating, and appraising a sufficient quantity of qualified employees to perform necessary activities; developing activities and an organizational climate conducive to maximum efficiency and worker satisfaction
Actuating (Directing)
regulating the activities or course of activities of an organization; to guide and/or supervise the activities of an organization
Objectives
specific statement of ends, the achievement of which are contemplated within a specific time period (Objectives are used in the management control process, & provide a quantitative & time framework to the org's goals. Objectives are intended to be accomplished by a specific date & are stated in terms, preferably in such a way that there is some measurable basis for determining the extent to which they have been achieved
