Graphic Design 2
Describe at least three ways you can make your document easier to read and understand.
Column grids can help like letters, memos, and reports are 1 column while brochures and newsletters have 3 columns. Justification refers to the way that the text is aligned with margins. Left justified is the easiest to read. Avoid widows and orphans in text, as they weaken the appearance of your document. A widow is a stranded final line of a paragraph that appears at the top of a new page or column. An orphan is a stranded first line of a paragraph that appears at the bottom of a page or column.

Printing that extends beyond the specified page size so that white space doesn't show after a page is trimmed.
List and describe the three elements of good information design.
Textual- Textual elements refer to the text in your document that forms sentences. Graphic- Graphic elements refer to photographs, drawings, graphs, and diagrams. Spatial- Spatial elements refer to how and where you place textual and graphic elements, along with management of white space.
What is the difference between serif and sans serif typefaces?
The serifs are that tails at the tops and bottoms of the letters. Sans serif fonts have cleaner lines without tails.
How does one create coherence in a document?
To achieve a coherent "look" for your document, use similar fonts or font families and the same basic structural design throughout the document. Keep colors consistent throughout the document.
