Where I took Leadership

Holding a leadership at a young age definitely helped me build my confidence, relationship building skills, and strong communication. Situation: When I was apart of National Charity league, which is a nonprofit mother daughter organization, I was elected president of my class. One of my main responsibilities was leading and organizing monthly meetings. Task: I wanted to find a way to make the meetings more engaging and interactive instead of just throwing information at the girls. Action: I implemented ice breakers at the beginning of the meetings, recognized birthdays during each month, and passed out candies when girls participated. Result: As a result of this, I was able to make meetings more engaging, fun, and was able to make my class bond and come together. After I was done with my position, the icebreakers, birthday recognitions, were still being used.

Why do you see yourself succeeding in this role?

I am a fast-learner, self motivated, and not afraid to ask questions. I love learning new things

Compensation expectations

I am looking for a position that pays around $60-$65, but am also open to negotiation

How would you describe your work ethic / describe a time you worked hard to achieve a goal / accomplishments you are proud of

I have always had a strong work ethic. I have always been someone who works hard and puts their all into what they do. I definitely inherited this trait from my dad, who always reminded me how important it was to make sure get things done the right way. And to always utilize your resources.

Weakness

I have noticed that I sometimes can take on too much responsibility, I beleive this stems from a mix of my strong work ethic, eagerness to learn new things

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths would have to be relationship building. I love making genuine connections with others. I feel like I really learned how to navigate connecting with people is through recruitment. Having strong relationship building skills definitely have helped me understand the best way to communicate with others because everyone communicates differently.

Describe one of the best cultures that you have been a part of / risk taken / challenge that you have overcame

Situation: While I was a social media intern, my team was struggling to meet hard deadlines while managing the Coug's social media due to lack of organization. Task: I wanted to find a way to make our campaign planning more concise and structured. Action: I created a shared calendar and an excel spreadsheet that included all of the content we needed to post from February-May. I color coded the events to help illustrate who was in charge of what campaign. Result: As a result of taking that extra step to be more organized, we were able to meet our deadlines and even post more content because we were able to manage our time better while using the shared calendar and spreadsheet I created.

How I can make sure I meet Deadlines

While growing up both of my parents always emphasized how important it is to be on time and meet deadlines. That's one of my dad's and now my biggest pet peeves. In order for me to meet hard deadlines I make a to-do list every morning ranking my tasks by highest priority. This helps me stay organized and makes sure i meet my deadlines

Where you had to handle multiple tasks

While working as a retail sales associate, I had to master managing multiple tasks. I would first always put the customers first. If helping out a customer, I would Ask permission from the first customer. Greet the other customer. Get back to the first person quickly and thank them for waiting. Restate where they were in the sale. Confirm they got it right.
