S-5 Battalion Special Projects Officer

The Battalion S-5 informs and promotes the JROTC program to the community. S-5 duties fall into 3 major categories: Cadet Information; Public Information and Community Relations. The S-5 uses the webpage, bulletin boards in the JROTC department, school information board and district information board to celebrate and recognize the Giants Battaion.

S-4 Battalion Logistics and Supply Officer(

The Battalion Supply Officer is responsible for the fitting and issuing of uniforms and items of equipment to the JROTC Cadet corps. She runs the supply room to be operational most of the day to serve the needs of the cadets. She is also responsible for keeping a running count on all items in the supply room.

The Circle Map is used for brainstorming. Bubble Maps are useful for developing vocabulary, distinguishing fact from fiction, and valuing/evaluating. The Double Bubble Map is used for comparing and contrasting. Tree Maps can be used for hierarchical classifications as well as for groupings of themes, concepts, and ideas. The Brace Map is used to analyze physical objects and shows part-whole relationships. If you need to sequence or order information, use the Flow Map. Other uses for the Flow Map include the sequence of a plot, a timeline, order of operations, and framing long-term outcomes. The Multi-Flow Map is used for showing and analyzing cause-and-effect relationships. The Bridge Map gives you a tool for applying the process of seeing analogies.

S-1 Adjutant

The S-1 is the Personnel and Administrative Officer for the battalion. She maintains the unit manning board, keeps a current and accurate file on all JROTC Cadets in the battalion, prepares and publishes orders, and performs a variety of administrative functions as required. The S-1 make sure cadet records are posted correctly.

S-3 Operations and Training Officer

The S-3 staff officer is responsible for a myriad of activities to include school and community projects. All activities must go through the S3 officer so she may plan and coordinate with staff officers and unit leaders to ensure mission accomplishment.
