Motor nerve which plays a role in eye movement. Innervation is the extrinsic eye muscle - superior oblique

III) Oculomotor

Motor nerve which enables eye movement, constriction of the pupil (miosis) and lens accommodation.

XI) Accessory

Motor nerve which enables speech, swallowing, and movements of the head and shoulders.

XII) Hypoglossal

Motor nerve which enables tongue movements for swallowing and speech.

VI) Abducens

Motor nerve which plays a role in eye movement. Innervation is the extrinsic eye muscle - lateral rectus.

VII) Facial

Mixed nerve involved in facial expression, secretion of glands and taste sensation.

X) Vagus

Mixed nerve involved in gland secretion, peristalsis, speech, taste, visceral and general sensation of the head, thorax, and abdomen.

IX) Glossopharyngeal

Mixed nerve which enables swallowing, salivation, taste sensation and general oral cavity sensations.

V) Trigeminal

Mixed nerve which supplies sensation to the facial skin and serves the muscles for chewing and swallowing.

VIII) Vestibulocochlear

Sensory nerve responsible for hearing, balance and motion.

Sensory nerve which brings visual information to the brain

Sensory nerve which carries information about smell to the brain.
