What does "CDC" stand for?

Center for Disease Control

What does CDC stand for? What type of questions are asked and answered on this page of the CDC Website? Read at least three questions and the answers on the website page. What question did you read and in one sentence what was the answer given?

Center of Disease Control. Questions include asking what food poisoning is, what causes it and if the person has it. Do I have food poisoning? If you are experiencing nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea, then there is a chance you might have food poisoning.

After reading over the long list of nearly 75 kitchen tools and utensils, how did what you have in your kitchen compare with the list? Did it give you any ideas about what kind of tools and utensils you want to have in your home when you are on your own? Do you think you will have an entirely different inventory in your kitchen than you have now - - or will your kitchen be pretty much the same as what you have now?

I have a lot of the items mentioned but I also don't have all of them. I feel like now I know how many utensils go into making lunch, or dinner, and that having a couple pans is not enough. I think I will have a good bit of what is in my kitchen now, but I also think there are going to be things that I don't need.

What did you think of the video clip on separating egg yolks from whites with an empty plastic bottle? Do you think you will try it?

I think it is cool, but personally, I don't really eat eggs all that often and when I do its when I bake. Plus, I'm not sure I always have a spare water bottle hanging around, and I don't think its that difficult to separate the egg yolks from the whites. I do think it is cool though!

Were you surprised to read about some of the foods we eat today were around for so long? What was the most surprising food that you might have thought of as a "modern invention?" What food do you think might be listed for the 21st Century?

I was surprised to read that fried chicken was around in the 1st century. That blows my mind! That was definitely the most surprising. I feel like all the crazy carnival foods such as fried Oreos or maybe even cotton candy would be listed for foods made in the 21st century.
