Stay to the right of a traffic island, median or obstruction ahead.
Keep right sign
Two lanes will become one. In this example, vehicles in the right lane must merge into left-lane traffic. Right-lane vehicles must yeild.

Yellow-green
Warns and controls in pedestrian and bicycle crossings and chool areas
The road ahead splits into two different directions. Be prepared for traffic crossing in you path and prepare to turn in one direction or the other.
Y-intersection ahead sign
Slow down or stop, if necessary. Give the right of way to all other vehicles and pedestrians, and wait until it is safe to proceed.
Yeild sign
The roadway will gain an additional lane of traffic. New traffic will not have to merge.
Added lane sign
This lane is dedicated for bicycles only. Cars can not drive here. (example of restricted lane)
Bicycle restricted lane sign
The center lane is shared, for the purpos of making left turns, by traffic traveling in both directions.
Center lane only sign
Alert motorists that a railroad crossing is ahead (just like the diamond shaped one).
Circle railroad crossing ahead sign
A four-way intersection is ahead. Prepare to yeild.
Crossroad sign
The road curves in the direction indicated. If the sign displays a speed limit, slow to the indicated speed.
Curve sign
Warns drivers to watch out for deer.

Describes services fro motorists
Alert motorists that a railroad crossing is ahead.
Diamond railroad crossing ahead sign
The divided road ends ahead. Two-way traffic will no longer be divided by a center island.

Do not enter that lane or road if this sign is facing you.

Reserved for vehicles displaying disability license plates or a disablility parking permit.

Do not procedd if your vehicle is taller than the height indicated on the sign, or your vehicle may become stuck.
Low clearance ahead sign
Vehicles merge onto the roadway on which you are traveling. Be prepared to allow vehicles to enter traffic near you.

Green signs indicate exits, distance to cities, interstate interchanges, street or route names, and bicycle routes.

The bridge ahead is narrower than the roadway.

Is on the left of a two-way highway. It warns of the begining of a no passing zone.

Wait for the traffic signal to turn green before you turn.

Traffic in the specified lane flows only in the direction of the arrow.
One way sign
Direct drivers to watch for pedestrians crossing the road. Slow down and be prepared to stop for pedestrians. (yellow-green sign with arrow below is standard marking)

Prohibits and commands
Indicates buses and truck drivers (who usually have to stop at all railroad crossings) do not need to stop for this railroad crossing.
Railroad crossing exempt sign
Used to identify a railroad crossing. If there is more than one track, the number of tracks will be posted below the sign.

A slower speed limit is posted ahead. Begin reducing your speed.

Blue signs direct you to services such as telephones, gas, food, motels, hospitals, and rest areas.
Rest area sign
The diamond symbol indicates that the traffic lane is reserved for a specific use or a certain type of vehicle (carpool lane, busses, commercial vehicles and bicycles).
Restricted lane sign
Indicateds that a person with a flag is ahead. Drive cautiously.
Road construction sign (flag person)
Indicates that workers are performing maintenance on the roadway. Reduce speed and adjust lane postion away from workers.

Reduced speeds are often posted in work zones. Motorists who violate the posted speed limit in work zones when workers are present will be assessed twice the usual fine.

The road ahead sharply changes direction. Slow to a safe speed.

Warns a driver they are entering a construction zone.

As you approach a roundabout slow down to the advisory speed and prepare to stop if necessary.

Indicate a school or an approved school crosswalk is ahead. Watch for children and be prepared to stop.
School zone (school crossing ahead) sign
Traffic is coming from your right. Watch for vehicles entering the roadway.
Side road sign
The road surface is slippery when it is wet. This sign is often located near bridges and overpasses.

Must be displayed on all vehicles that travel 30 mph or less (farm implements, hourse-drawn vehicles) when they are used on a public road. Adjust your vehicle speed or prepare to change lanes when you see this sign.

Warns drivers to watch out for snowmobiles.
Snowmobile crossing sign
Indicate the fastest (and sometimes slowest) speed you can travel on a road.
Speed limit sign
The road ahead declines steeply. Make sure you vehicle's brakes are in working order before you proceed.
Steep hill sign
Come to a complete stop. Remained stopped until pedestrians and vehicles with the right of way have cleared the intersection. Then proceed with caution.
Stop sign
The road you are traveling on will end soon. Prepare to turn or left. Yeild to cross traffic.
T-intersection ahead sign
There is a traffic light at the next intersection.
Traffic signal ahead sign
You are leaving a one-way road and entering a two-way road. Stay to the right.
Two-way traffic ahead sign

Warns
The road ahead winds back and forth. Slow to a safe or indicated speed.
Winding road ahead sign
you have entered a lane of oncoming traffic. You are traveling in the wrong direction.
Wrong way sign
The road is dividing. Stay to the right.
