Most of you came into this class with little knowledge of the scope and breadth of supply chain management. What were your expectations for this class beyond 3 hours of credit? As hopefully you have seen and understood over the semester, supply chain management is as much a multi-disciplinary social-political industry including economics, law, political science, logistics, technology, competitive advantage, sociology, communications, risk management and virtually everything else. Perhaps more importantly, there is a place for your interests in the field of Supply Chain. So after 15 weeks of diligent work, what does Supply Chain Management mean to you now? My expectations from this class were a couple of things. The first one is to have a better understanding on supply chain. The whole course was over supply chain and going into the class, I had no clue what that entailed. I knew supply chain worked with customers and businesses but never bothered to look into further information on what supply chain can entail. This class has provided me with great knowledge and information. I hope to expand it through my business one day. The next idea is how companies dealt with the supply chain. Since I knew the basic understanding of supply chain, there were so much more that explains what issues companies went through. Whether it was the business dealing with short staff, diversity, customer service, and so on. Lastly to have a better knowledge about the production flow of goods and service. Overall, those were my top ideas going into this course. Supply chain management means the production flow in goods and services along with how consumers and businesses is a part of the supply chain circle. What stood out to me is the understanding of service productivity and how much service plays a part in the business. This can include businesses hiring and training people to work for them. It could also be as simple as customer service. This class complement my chosen major and career path because I want to eventually own my own business. In addition, this class has taught me about the production in the service and goods along with the supply chain. I greatly appreciate the time to learn this course. This class has been a great experience. I enjoy reading different articles every week and doing discussion posts on them. I think they have taught me great information along with providing me the resource based on the chapter.

Yes, this class met my expectation. I did not know what to expect going in so that really helped. In addition, not knowing the description of what my class is about beforehand can be challenging to set some kind of expectation. Going into this semester, I believe this class is very useful and beneficial to all students whether they want to have their own business or work for a company. I do not believe that this class needs any improvement. The only thing I could come up with is after the third attempt is to have the correct answer for the quizzes. Even then, I think figuring out the correct answers are beneficial and gets students to think. There is not other content I would like to see more. Maybe watching a video of recent supply chain courses. I am not so sure about math questions. I am not the greatest at math but that is just me. Not sure what other students think on that question. Yes the discussion post did help me have a better understanding on the supply chain today. Reading about how much companies deal with and what issues they encountered has made me realized that the business world is going to be a little bit of a challenge to overcome. For example, with women being truck drivers, they tend to get judged for their gender. I just do not agree that other workers should treat their employees like that. That is very frustrating. Yes I think the case for cross-functional collaboration made it because in the discussion articles that you have provided, I have seen lots of diversity and goals in some of the articles. I think that a team software project on supply chain network could help this class because students could get an idea how the software can be useful along with having another great learning opportunity to learn something new.
