Concerned with managing individuals and smaller groups, including, recruitment, selection, induction, training and dvlpmnt, peformance mgmt, and remuneration.
Smaller group of subfunctions
Concerned with work org & employee voice systems including management union relations.
IHRM
International HRM Concerned with HRM in companies operating across national boundaries. Less engaged with theoretical bridges that are important in SHRM. Focuses on how HR sub functions such as selection & remuneration might be adapted to international assignments.
MHRM
Micro HRM. Covers the sub functions of HR policy and practices.
SHRM
Strategic HRM. Focuses on the overall HR strategies adopted by business units & companies and tries to measure their impacts on performance.
