Catherine of Aragon

A Spanish princess who was married to his brother first. When his brother died, Henry VIII married her. She had only one daughter, Mary. Catherine could not give Henry any more children so he divorced her.

Jane Seymour

After Anne was executed, Henry married Jane. She gave him a son, Edward, but she died after Edward was born.

Anne Boleyn

Anne Boleyn was English. She did not give Henry a son and only had one daughter, Elizabeth. Many people did not like Ann Boleyn and thought that she had lovers. Henry also believed this and he ordered for her to have her head chopped off in the Tower of London.

Anne of Cleves

Anne was a German princess. Henry married her for political reasons, but then divorced her very quickly afterwards.

Catherine Howard

Catherine was Anne's cousin. She was also accused of having lovers and was executed at the Tower of London. You can see the place where this happened if you visit the Tower of London.

Catherine Parr

Henry was old when he married Catherine Parr, who was widowed from her previous marriage. She was the only wife who lived longer than Henry VIII. She married again after Henry died, but soon died afterwards.
