A medium shot

A Medium Shot is often used to introduce a character for the first time. A Medium Shot places the top of the frame just above the character's head and the bottom of the frame just below the waist.

Low angle shot

A camera shot from a low angle, looking up on the actions. This is often used to show the superiority of a character or characters.

close up shot

A shot in which a small detail or a face fills the frame, taken either by setting the camera close to the subject or by using a long focal-length lens. In relation to a human subject, close-up usually refers to a shot of the face alone although, of course, there may be close-ups of hands or feet, or any other part of the body.

An extreme close up

An Extreme Close-up is often used to reveal a character's feelings WITHOUT using dialogue. An Extreme Close-up Shot is often used to provide the audience with a view of a specific detail.

Cristof

Driven by fear afraid of losing Truman. Loves truman sees himself as a father figure and god of Trumans world. THinks he is protecting Truman inevitably Truly Encaging him in his own private world.

Work places

Everyone busy, intense, cramped, ideal stereotypical rough boring working place with harsh boss. Its not possible to reach perfection without working for it. American dream - Hard work pays off.

An establishing shot

Ariel View shot

Shows the subject from a birds eye viewpoint often important to show the location or he setting of a scene.

Shows the whole subject a person from head to foot or the entire car. Any of theses shots can show one subject or more at the same time.

"I always thought of the film as taking place twenty years or so in the future, and that Christof the show's creator would hove created an idealised environment for Seahaven based on elements from the past that he particularly admired.

High angle shot

shows the subject from above, i.e. the camera is angled down towards the subject. This has the effect of diminishing the subject, making them appear less powerful, less significant or even submissive

organised, symmetrical, empty shells of buildings, no construction or repairs, change is not neccesary because cristof has reached perfection

Wendy Stites says, "Truman Burbank is the only person on 'The Truman Show' that dresses himself- the others are all dressed by the wardrobe department of the television show - so I wanted his look to be a bit different, not quite as polished."

a camera movement that scans a scene vertically

Eye level shot

made from the observer's eye level and usually implies the camera's attitude toward the subject being photographed.
