Asexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: Asexual Reproduction is a form of reproduction only requiring one parent and no fertilization

Asexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: Asexual reproduction is a form of reproduction witch does not involve fertilization. Only one parent is involved in this process. Asexual reproduction is the primary form of reproduction for a single-celled organisms such as mold or bacteria.

Asexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: Asexual reproduction is when an organism reproduces and creates another of itself, or a copy. It is a brand new organism, however will be identical to the one parent.

Asexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: Asexual reproduction skips the mating process and making gametes, it also happens much faster than sexual reproduction and requires less energy. It can create an offspring a lot quicker.

Binary Fission

Definition: Example: Binary Fission is when the cell copies the contents. Then, it will eventually split and grow into two copies. This is the case with many unicellular (one celled) organisms.

Plantlets

Definition: Example: Bulbs, onions, chives, lilies over winter in the form of a bulb, each bulb has a very short steam, and it is also surrounded by fresh leaves. In the spring everything starts to shoot out and grow

Fragmentation

Definition: Example: Fragmentation is a form of asexual reproduction when an organism has a fragment fall off and eventually grow to become a completely new copy of the beginning organism. Some examples of things that do this are starfish, fungi, some plants, and worms.

Fragmentation

Definition: Example: Fragmentation is a form of asexual reproduction where a new organism grows from a fragment of the parent. An example of fragmentation is a star fish because they can regenerate.

Sporogenesis

Definition: Example: If one single parent produces the spores the offspring will become identical to the parent. It is a multicellular organism that forms from a spore seed.

Asexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: It odes not need to have a parenter and they can do it by them selves.

Sporogenesis

Definition: Example: Many multi-cellular organisms from spores during their life cycle in a process.

Plantlets

Definition: Example: Plantlets drop off of plants and they will then grow into a new copy of the plant. Examples of this may be duckweed, spider plant, and kalanchoe.

Plantlets

Definition: Example: Plantlets occur when a plant produces minature plants on the end of their leaves. This can happen with duckweed, spider plants, and kalanchoe.

Tubers

Definition: Example: Plants like potatoes have buds that grow out of them to make new plants.

Plantlets

Definition: Example: Plants such as duck weed, spider plant produce miniature plants on the end of their leaves.

Rhizomes

Definition: Example: Plants such as grasses produce underground stems (rhizomes) these grow roots which eventually turn into another plant.

Rhizomes

Definition: Example: Plants such as grasses, cattails and sedge's produce underground stems or rhizomes.

Rhizomes

Definition: Example: Rhizomes are stems that grow through soil and sprout into a separate plant. Plants that do this include grasses, cattails, and sedges.

Sexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: Sexual reproduction is two parents reproducing to make an individual and would take more energy than Asexual reproduction. Instead of having one parent for reproduction.

Sexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: Sexual reproduction is when two parents come together to reproduce. The sperm and egg have each their own chromosomes which will influence the child, creating offspring with genes of both parents. An example of this is human life.

Sporogenesis

Definition: Example: Spore Formation is when spores grow on the organism and they will work similarly to seeds- and create a copy of that plant where ever it goes. Examples are ferns, fungi like mushrooms, bread molds, and green algae.

Sporogenesis

Definition: Example: Spores are similar to seeds but are produced by the division of cells on the parent, not by the union of two cells by fertilization. This way of reproduction is used by fungi (mushrooms), green algae, bread molds, and ferns

Sporogenesis

Definition: Example: Sporogensis is about the same seed but are produced by the division of the cells. And it does not need the fertilization of the parents. And one parent can only produce the spore. Such as Mushrooms, green algae, bread molds, ferns

Sexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: The gentaic information (DNA) combines to create a genetically unique offspring.

Fragmentation

Definition: Example: The limb and the body will grow back. Ex when a star fish get cut in haft and the arm will grow back and the other limb will become an other starfish.

Budding

Definition: Example: The parent makes a smaller version of itself that later detaches from the parent and because an individual -water dwelling creatures called hydra -coral

Budding

Definition: Example: The parent organisms produce a bud which detaches itself from the parent and becomes self-sufficient thing identical to its parent

Plantlets

Definition: Example: The plant will begin to produce long, smaller plants on the end of its leaves. They will eventually fall off and grow into new, individual plants. This normally occurs with the duckweed, kalanchoe and spider plant.

Rhizomes

Definition: Example: The plant will grow its roots deep into the soil, which will eventually spread out and begin to develop an identical plant. The produced plant will grow out of the soil and will share the same details and traits as the plant that produced it. Many plants that do this are grasses and cattails.

Tubers

Definition: Example: They are developed with specialized stem branches that go down and swell up with starch containing cells. Such as potatoes.

Tubers

Definition: Example: Tubers are modified rhizomes, Mainly formed in plants such as potatoes. Buds on the tubers will grow into new plants.

Tubers

Definition: Example: Tubers are modified rhizomes. The develop when specialized stem branches grow down into the ground and swell up with starch containing cells.

Tubers

Definition: Example: Tubers are modified rhizomes. They form on plants such as potatoes or tomatoes when a stem branch grows down and swells up growing into a new plant.

Tubers

Definition: Example: Tubers have special stems grow into the ground and swell up with starch-containing cells. Bud on these tubes grow into new plants. An example of an organism that undergoes this form of asexual reproductions is potatoes.

Binary Fission

Definition: Example: When it copies the nucleus and the organelles to make it into two cells. Ex An amoeba copies its body and spits into two.

Sporogenesis

Definition: Example: When multi cellular organisms form spores, one parent may form spores which turn into a new individual identical to its parent

Sexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: When the genetic information (DNA) from 2 parents combine to create a genetically unique offspring -people -cows -dogs

Sexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: When the genetic information (DNA) from 2 parents combine to create a genetically unique offspring. Ex: Humans, pigs, birds, insects

Sexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: When the genetic information (DNA) from 2 parents combine to create a genetically unique offspring. An example of this is humans, birds, monkeys, etc.

Sexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: When the genetic information of two parents combine to form a genetically unique offspring

Sexual Reproduction

Definition: Example: When the genetic information or DNA from two parents combine to create genetically unique offspring.

Binary Fission

Definition: Example: When unicellular organisms such as bacteria reproduce asexually, the cell copies itself and splits into two cells identical to one another.

Plantlets

Definition: Example: a few plants such as duckweed, spider plant and kalanchoe produce miniature plants on the end of their leaves. these drop off and develop into mature plants . The duckweed ,which is an aquatic plan, reproduces almost entirely by this method.

Rhizomes

Definition: Example: grasses, cattails and sedge produce underground stems or rhizomes.

Budding

Definition: Example: the parent organism produces a bud (a smaller version of itself)
