Causes of conflict within the workplace

Mediation

A method of settling disputes outside of court by using the services of a neutral third party called a mediator. The mediator acts as a communicating agent between the parties and suggests ways in which the parties can resolve their dispute.

A union strategy in which a group of employees claim they cannot work because of illness, thereby disrupting the company.

Go slow

Form of industrial action that involves employees working at a slower pace than normal, thus causing a fall in output
