Mariana Rey-Rosa - Here to live
A current sophomore at the University of South Carolina Honors College is pursuing a degree in International Business and Finance through the Darla Moore School of Business. is fluent in English, Spanish, and French and has been dedicated to the advancement of Hispanic communities in Salem, Oregon and Guatemala City. She has partnered with different organizations to provide a basic education to children in these communities through tutoring programs. After graduating, plans to attend law school.
Kathryn Deville - Putting the DEVIL(LE) in Business since '99
A current sophomore from Waxhaw, North Carolina, attending the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina and is pursuing a major in International Business and Supply Chain with a minor in Spanish. For four years has worked in the service industry both as a host and a sever, and has developed a strong background in interpersonal skills and customer relations because of it, encouraging her desire to continue and develop these skills on an international and educational platform. In her free time, loves to cook a variety of dishes, read, and spend time with friends and family. After graduation, wishes to pursue a Masters in International Business with UofSC as well as a partnering international university, before ultimately obtaining a job where she can pursue her passions of culture, language, and travel.

At her university, she is involved with the Club Gymnastics as the travel and meet planning chair, and is an active member of the Mountaineering and Whitewater Rafting club. loves to travel and has visted the United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Cuba, and islands in the Caribbean. Cassandra (Cassie) Kowalski - What's Next?
A sophomore at the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business studies International Business as well as Operations and Supply Chain Management. She is an Operations Leader at USC's Campus Recreation, where she supervises a team of eight employees. Furthermore, she is serving on the Executive Board of Phi Mu Fraternity as the chapter's Treasurer. Second semester of her freshman year she joined a professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi, where she has been the Alumni Relations Events Chair Coordinator for a year and will be on the fraternity's Leadership Team as a Co-Social Chair in the upcoming Fall 2021. She is eager to use her collegiate leadership experiences in the global supply chain industry as she continues to expand her knowledge about the business world.
Reegan Graves - Throw Out the Blueprints
A sophomore studying International Business, Marketing, and Spanish at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, she has no set blueprints, but rather, a lifelong pursuit of learning and an ambition to do something greater than herself. A normal day for her begins at USC's Office of Student Conduct and Academic Integrity as a student employee, opening cases and communicating with fellow students to ensure they have the tools necessary for success. She is also a member of two Greek organizations on campus, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Fraternity and Delta Zeta Sorority. In her free time, is a contributing writer for Curiosity Shots, an online news forum, where she strives to understand the world by asking questions that have no one particular answer. She seeks growth through failure, and values open-mindedness in times of controversy. Sure, she has no blueprints, but she hopes to take advantage of everything life has to throw at her and make them on the way.
Alexander Ahlquist - Southern living, global mindset
He grew up outside of Raleigh, North Carolina and watched the development and growth of the RTP area. Watching the growth of international businesses into his local area spurred the idea of an opportunity to be involved in a world where decisions can affect the entire globe. At the University of South Carolina, he is studying International Business and Operations and Supply Chain Management with a minor in Spanish with the goal to join the international supply chain world as a consultant solving various problems for people around the world. When he's not in class, he's hanging out with his brothers in Phi Kappa Tau, playing basketball around Columbia courts, tossing a football at Strom, or hanging out with his roommates. He is eager to increase his understanding of the complex global economy that drives political, financial, and cultural decisions around the world.
Joshua Goldman - Hard Worker, Harder Thinker
He is a Sophomore International Business and Finance major. He is also minoring in Spanish and hopes to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country to further develop his skills. hopes to explore his interests in Finance although he is not entirely sure what that might be. He is from Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb north of Chicago, and loves spending time with his friends and family. He loves just about anything outdoors including going to the beach, skiing, and especially playing soccer. Austen Intoccia - An unlimited desire for knowledge
He is a Sophomore from Green Township, New Jersey who studies Accounting and International Business at the University of South Carolina. In addition, he is currently pursuing a minor in Spanish with the hopes of completing his study abroad in Madrid, Spain during his Junior year of college. In the near future, hopes to utilize the connections and skills he gained while working as an Accounts Receivable Clerk at McGivney, Kluger, Clark & Intoccia, P.C. to secure an accounting internship in New Jersey for this upcoming summer. From there, he hopes this internship will make him a competitive candidate for an internship with a Big Four accounting firm for the summer of 2022. If all goes according to plan, he will turn this Big Four internship into a full-time role as an auditor and eventually begin working in Denver, Colorado or Salt Lake City, Utah.
Joshua (Kiy) Matthews - Reject Mediocrity
He is a Sophomore in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He is majoring in International Business and Finance, with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. he hopes to study abroad in Beijing. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and after living in many different places including Lima, Peru and Gainesville, Florida, he currently resides in Midlothian, Virginia. He developed a love of travel and other cultures at a young age due to living abroad. On campus, he is passionate about physical fitness, working for the Wellness and Fitness centers on campus, as well as an involvement with various intramural sports. He would like to work as a Financial Advisor in the future after pursuing a Masters degree. His previous work as an intern has provided him with valuable marketing and event planning experience as well.

He is a Sophomore studying International Business and Finance with a concentration in Business Analytics and minor in Spanish in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He grew up on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and attended Hilton Head Island High School, where he completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. He loves to travel and plans to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country to improve his fluency in Spanish. is currently seeking exposure to financial management, through a rigorous education and internship experience. He is especially interested in the wealth management of professional athletes.

He is a Sophomore studying International Business, Finance and Spanish in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He hails from Shelby, North Carolina where he graduated a two-time football State Champion and Valedictorian. He has experience as a political intern and page for the NC Speaker of the House, as well as an Athletic Turf Management crew member for the City of Shelby and University of South Carolina. Currently, he is pursuing a globally focused education with an emphasis on risk and financial consulting. In order to supplement his in-school education with hands-on experiences, he will be interning this summer (2021) in the Finance Department of Textron Systems in New Orleans, LA. He looks to continue to combine his unique experiences in a way that will bring great benefit and prosperity to all of those around him.
Jackson Ashley - Evolving Ethics in Effect
He is a current Sophomore from Greenville, SC attending the Darla Moore School of Business as well as the University of South Carolina Honors College. He is studying both Accounting and International Business along with a minor in Spanish and hopes to study abroad either in Europe or Asia. He wants to use his travels in order to continually learn about other cultures and their ethics in order to be able to more effectively understand and work with various foreign businesses with an international accounting firm. He is a sophomore Carolina Scholar at the University of South Carolina pursuing a degree in International Business and Economics with a Spanish minor and Data Analytics concentration. He currently plans on attending law school after receiving his undergraduate degree and pursuing a career as a corporate lawyer at an international law firm. During his time outside of class, is a member of the Gamecock Economic Society and a non-profit on campus, Quench, that brings awareness to the world water crisis. John Hladun - Principled with a goal of piety
He is a sophomore International Business and Accounting Major minoring in Spanish at the Darla Moore School of Business. While his formal education is business-oriented, enjoys broadening his horizons and exploring philosophical concepts to develop a well-rounded classical education. Outside of the classroom, he serves as vice-chairman of both the Finance and Powers and Responsibilities committees of the University of South Carolina Student Body Senate. In these roles, writes and reviews legislation in an effort to improve the campus community. is also heavily involved with the St. Thomas More Catholic Center and has a profound dedication to his Catholic faith. Serving those in need of physical or spiritual assistance is an extremely important aspect of life as well. In the summer, works as an ocean rescue lifeguard for the Ocean City Beach Patrol in New Jersey where he rescues distressed swimmers and performs first aid.

He is a sophomore International Business and Finance student at the University of South Carolina, minoring in German with a concentration in data analytics. Management consulting at a Big Three firm, those being McKinsey, Bain, and Boston Consulting Group, is the ideal career path for. He has great interest in politics, as reflected by his fall 2020 internship with Congressman Ralph Norman in Washington D.C.. In his free time, plays a great deal of ping pong and has a great interest in major American sports such as baseball, hockey, football, and basketball.
Nikita Golev - Retired Rock Star
He is a sophomore at Darla Moore School of Business majoring in International Business and Operations & Supply Chain with a concentration in Data Analytics. He is originally from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, even though he spent his childhood in Lutsk, a small town in Western Ukraine. From the age of 6 years old, he was sure that he will become a rock star: learned to play drums, went to music school, and even played in a rock band with 20-25 year old people. Plans did not work out the way he would like, but such things as recording albums and traveling to festivals across Ukraine was useful, and most importantly, a fun experience. Besides, he always wanted to develop himself which is, unfortunately, impossible in his home country, where higher education can hardly be called good. That was the main reason why he decided to study abroad. Starting from the age of 15 he was actively involved in his parents' business, mostly in the logistics sector, where some of his ideas were effectively used to reduce costs and enlarge earning. He is a native Russian and Ukrainian speaker being a person that was raised in a mix of Russian and Ukrainian culture. He is confident that he will still become a rock star, albeit not in the field of music.
Brian Ellis - Motivated By Curiosity

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Brian has career hopes as an investment banker or a financial analyst while also looking for opportunities to travel the world. In the spring of 2022 he plans to study abroad in Spain to continue his international business education while also sharpening his Spanish skills. Outside of class he is an active member of his Fraternity, Delta Kappa Epsilon, enjoys intramural sports, and participating in mission trips through his church. He grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and plans on studying abroad in the Spring 2022 semester in South America to further his Spanish-speaking ability and learn more about International Business from different cultures and regions. has plenty of work experience throughout his life, working at a grocery store deli last summer, and as a soccer referee over the last six years. is also very active in his community, as a founder and president of a philanthropic group on campus to raise money for the Michael J. An aspiring real estate developer, hopes to supplement his studies with a minor in Geography so as to understand the financial, economic, sociopolitical, and environmental implications of future projects. A New Jersey native, is well versed in the real estate markets of New York, New Jersey, and South Florida. He is majoring in International Business and Finance, with a minor in Spanish. was born and raised in Collegeville, PA, a relatively small town in the suburbs of Philadelphia. He is an active participant in the Capstone Scholars program, as well as in the Carolina Finance and Investment Association and Carolina Fund. Outside of academics, loves to play sports, as he is an avid Philadelphian sports fan and enjoys hanging out with his friends. In the future, hopes to one day start his own successful business, using the tools and components that he learns over his academic and professional career, and recently, has been in the works of developing his own online e-commerce business. Additionally, is also interested in pursuing a career in investment banking or private equity. This summer, hopes to get off the DoorDash grind and obtain an internship in any of his desired fields mentioned above. As a self-taught programmer, he has led the development and creation of an app on the Apple Appstore. During the creation process he enjoyed the creativity and freedoms involved in graphical design. In the future he looks forward to pursuing a career in entrepreneurship specifically in the realm of AI and data science. In Spring of 2022 he plans on studying abroad in Singapore.

He is pursuing a degree in International Business and Finance from the Darla Moore School of Business with a minor in Japanese. He currently works in corporate operational improvement at SC Farm Bureau Casualty Mutual Company and Palmetto Specialty Insurance Agency. As the recipient of a Magellan Scholar's research grant, he is analyzing data analytics in the professional world as a component of one of the many barriers to entry into the workforce that socioeconomically underprivileged applicants face. next challenge will be adapting his new real estate management business to a post-COVID world.
Andrew Krznarich - Ready for Reality
He is a sophomore in the Darla Moore School of Business studying International Business and Supply Chain/Operations at the University of South Carolina. He joined a social fraternity, Beta Theta Pi, in the spring of 2020 and is currently involved within the rush committee of the fraternity. has also been hired to work at the 2021 Master's Tournament in Augusta, GA as a member of the operations team in the South Village Shop. He received the award of Eagle Scout, Boy Scouts of America's highest honor, in high school and continues to use communication, leadership, and organizational skills used within the process. He also worked as an umpire at Bell Memorial Park in Milton, GA for 5 years and served for 2 years on the hiring committee of the organization. hopes to obtain an internship within the supply chain field for the summer. Tim Fritts - The Terminator
He is a sophomore in the Honors College at the University of South Carolina. He is majoring in International Business and Supply Chain and Operations while pursing minors in Spanish and Russian. From his earlier life in Wooster, Ohio, he holds the honors of being an International Baccalaureate Diploma holder and an Eagle Scout. Throughout the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic he worked nights at one of Gojo Industries distribution centers, packing orders of soap and hand sanitizer. His work ethic and subsequent best-in-class performance metrics earned him the nickname "The Terminator" by his peers at Gojo. In addition to his passion for history, he is an avid rock climber, mountain biker, and backpacker. intends to study abroad in Irkutsk, Russia as well as in Buenos Aires, Argentina to further develop his language knowledge. After graduation he intends to pursue a career in public service that will allow him to utilize his language and cultural skills.

He is a sophomore in the South Carolina Honors college pursuing a dual degree with majors in International Business and Economics through the Darla Moore School of Business as well as a Russian major through the College of Arts and Sciences. He has nine years of relevant professional experience including founding a boat servicing business which led into opportunities working in the service industry and an internship with the defense contracting company Summit Technologies. While working with Summit, pioneered new data processing initiatives utilizing Adobe Scripting to automate the distribution of human resources documents. He also worked on the Mission Planning Support Contract III to ensure compliance with contractors regarding travel reimbursements and expense reporting. Currently, works as a supplemental instructor on campus supporting an introductory microeconomics course. Alongside this role, currently serves as Auditor in the Sigma Omega Upsilon International Business Fraternity which aims to develop global leaders through cultural awareness and understanding. He aims to study abroad for the entirety of his junior year in both Daugavpils, Latvia and St. Petersburg, Russia. objective is to utilize his growing command of the Russian language to pursue a career in Eastern Europe working with emerging economies either with a private firm or representing the interests of the United States.

His international and multicultural perspective trailblazed his intellectual curiosity to how the world works and how singular events can ripple through an interconnected globe. So far, has worked for multiple offices at UofSC such as Office of New Student Orientation and the Student Success Center. He wishes to live long enough to see his positive impact on the world, and help fight the good fight for a more tolerable and peaceful global society.
Kapil Joshi - The one who can change the world, and will
He is a sophomore studying International Business and Finance, with a minor in Spanish, in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He is from Mumbai, India, where he studied the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and graduated top of his class. He has spent considerable time with an IT services company from his hometown, doing data analysis and creating reports for the company's use. His final report for the company highlighted market recommendations that were implemented by the chairman of the company. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi, and is already taking advanced Spanish classes. He currently serves as a Supplemental Instructor (SI) for a math-based course. In his later life, he will create and manage India's largest investment fund and also develop renewable energy solutions in the fields of real estate and manufacturing.
Colin Baker - Make it Happen
He is a sophomore studying International Business, Finance, and Chinese in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He grew up in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and loves to watch or attend any Chicago Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks, or Bulls game. His experience includes working for the University of South Carolina as a Telecounselor and as a court builder for Sport Court Midwest building basketball courts around the Chicagoland area for various clients. From this he has gained confidence in his communication skills and customer service. hopes to find an internship in the finance field for this upcoming Summer. On campus, was a captain of an intramural basketball team and he intends to join a professional fraternity this semester. In his free time, he enjoys any kind of physical activity or sports and loves to water and snow ski. His favorite place is the beach and hopes to make it there this Spring. He has work experience in the finance industry, having previously interned at Waddell & Reed in financial planning, and managing customer accounts for Fidelity Mechanical Services. In the future, hopes to make a meaningful impact on the finance industry, holding ethics and forward thinking as his grounding morals. Outside of professional interests, enjoys music and travelling.
William (Joe) Owens - Made in America, Built for the World
He is currently a sophomore double majoring in International Business & Operations and Supply Chain with a minor in Spanish at the Darla Moore School of Business. On campus, he is an active member of the Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity, where he served as a member of the executive team. He has worked diligently on his language skills, studying both Spanish and French in high school. In 2018, he had the opportunity to participate in a month-long Spanish language program in Salamanca, Spain. This past summer, he worked as a Technology and Project Specialist at Instream LLC. in his hometown of Nashville, TN. Back home, he also volunteered as an ESL teacher for immigrants who had come to the United States without being able to speak English. Outside of school and work, enjoys playing sports of all kinds and going on day trips around Columbia, SC.
Thayer Leshko - The Gambler
He is from Downingtown, Pennsylvania, and is a sophomore International Business and Finance student at the Darla Moore School of Business and South Carolina Honors College. was recently accepted to join the Finance Scholars program, which he hopes will prepare him for a career in investment banking. Working as a student trainer for Adventis, has the unique opportunity to teach aspiring business professionals some of the financial modeling technical skills necessary to be successful in banking and other related fields. is minoring in Spanish and hopes to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country, the Czech Republic, or Switzerland. He is from Frederick, Maryland and is a sophomore at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. He is majoring is International Business and Economics, while minoring in Russian. is also passionate about international politics and hopes to one day work with the United States Government. He is from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and is a sophomore in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. His majors are International Business and Economics, and he is also pursuing a minor in Spanish. He plans to use these studies to start his own business or become a leading executive in a multinational corporation. While attending the University of South Carolina, he is interested in studying abroad in Chile or another part of South America. He has held two internship positions: one with a civil engineering firm and the other with a logistics company. Outside of academic and professional experience, Jared enjoys playing Spikeball, listening to all kinds of music, and spending time with his family.

He is originally from Askania-Nova, Ukraine. An International Business & Economics student at Darla Moore School of Business. After Ukrainian crisis in 2014, he partnered world organizations like USAID with local communities to recover his country from war. In 2018, sponsored by the US Department of State for cultural exchange FLEX. In 2019, completed a non-degree program in Entrepreneurship & Innovation at Lviv School of Business. Twice "National Best MUN Delegate" in Ukraine, "Top 5 Corporate Set Sales" competitor in the United States and Unilever Future Leader League World Competitor 2021. Native in Ukrainian and Russian, proficient in English, beginner in Spanish. Currently runs his own AI start-up and consults people on cryptocurrency trading. Plans to run his own company in renewable energy or Artificial Intelligence sectors. Later he will lead a revival of the Ukrainian nation as a major government figure.
Brick Garner - The Try Guy
He was born in Greenville, South Carolina and is currently majoring in International Business and Finance at the Darla Moore School of Business. is also minoring in Spanish and plans to study abroad in Spain in the spring of 2022, although a final destination has not yet been established. He recently enjoyed his experience as a financial planning intern last summer at Muncaster Financial Group in Greenville, where worked to help manage client portfolios and update the company website. He hopes to use this knowledge to secure an internship with a larger company in the financial field next summer to get a feel for the corporate environment. Outside of his work and school life, loves to play racquet/paddle sports as well as golf; although he is terrible at the latter. After graduating, he plans on attending more school to get a Master's Degree or to study for his Series 7 license.
HaoEn Lee - Creative and rational--best of both worlds
He was born in Taiwan. He's fluent in both Mandarin and English. He's currently a sophomore at the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business majoring in International Business and Finance and minoring in applied computing. Data analysis and problem solving in the financial field is what he's passionate about and hope to master before searching for jobs like financial analyst in international corporations. Besides his academic interests, releases his creative energy by playing Viola and taking photos. Her love of Spanish language and culture flourished after partaking in language immersion programs in Spain and Peru. Now, at the University of South Carolina, she is studying International Business and Operations and Supply Chain with a Spanish minor and Data Analytics concentration. Here, she spent her freshman year spring break in Cuba for an international business focused study abroad trip. Affectionately called a renaissance girl by her first grade teacher, Catherine still desires to utilize her diverse linguistic competence, global travel experiences, and philanthropic endeavors to give back to the community and world. Catherine's heart is focused on service to others, always looking for a chance to help out a neighbor. Since age six, Catherine has coordinated fundraising for Boys Farm, Inc., a faith-based home for boys experiencing difficult family situations. To date, she has raised over $26,000 to purchase supplies for the annual Catherine Dixon Volunteer Day activities, such as tree planting and other campus improvements. She has worked a variety of jobs including: Medical Assistant for Lancaster Endocrinology and Sales Associate for Rock Hill Farm Market. As a Medical Assistant, Karen protected the security and confidentiality of patient records while recording patient information in Electronic Medical Records systems, scheduled patient appointments and worked with several other medical facilities to obtain and release records, and helped train two medical staff members. At the Farm Market, she serviced customers in produce sales, memorizing each item's new price per unit of weight each day for checkout on manual, price-entering cash register. Throughout both experiences, practiced customer service, resolved customer complaints, and recognized the importance of maintaining a calm, professional attitude in the workplace. enjoys working with people of all cultures and backgrounds and creative projects and problem-solving; she loves to talk too! Because of this and her language fluency, she is considering leading a hotel or global enterprise one day. Her desire to go into medicine before studying business has prompted her to keep leading a medical hospital in mind. After participating in an exchange program in high school, she became dedicated to pursuing a marketing career in a German-speaking country. She is primarily interested in using her understanding of cultural differences and artistic abilities to develop innovative marketing solutions and, later, to create her own company. Her skills in traditional mediums of art, such as oil painting, have led to her interest in a creative career environment. As a fishmonger at a small seafood shop, she learned the value of customer loyalty and competitive customer service by running the shop's market stand at Lancaster Central Market (America's oldest continuously operated farmers' market, which has been running for 290 years). The farmers' market is a surprisingly competitive environment, one where it is still important to remember your customers' names, even with the participation of the notoriously peaceful members of the Amish community.

She is a sophomore studying International Business and Finance with minors in Japanese and Italian in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. She was born in Loveland, Ohio and studied Spanish, German, and French in high school. She likes to stay connected to her hometown by working part-time in a small Italian restaurant which inspired her to continue learning Italian. While at the University of South Carolina, she belongs to the Student Dining Board of Directors to bring awareness and advocate for Celiac Disease and other food-restrictive issues on campus. In addition, she volunteers as a tutor with the Carolina Survivors Clinic which provides assistance to the families of refugees and helps to teach their children English and other various subjects. She also lives in the Language Annex at Thornwell to improve her language skills and to stay connected with the international community. During her junior year, she will study in Florence and Japan to practice her two languages of focus. In her free time, she plays on an intramural soccer team, paints, and cooks. She wants to use her creativity and speaking skills to become a Compliance Specialist for imports and exports. Due to her range of languages, she feels comfortable with working in different parts of the world and is open to many types of opportunities.
Rebecca Fisher - The Doer
She is a sophomore undergraduate student at the Darla Moore School of Business and the South Carolina Honors College at the University of South Carolina, pursuing a double major in International Business and Economics. On campus, she serves as Attorney General of the University's Student Government Association, where she utilizes interpersonal, analytical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills to thoroughly understand the Student Government Constitution and Codes, interpret these rules for specific situations, and present her findings to members and staff. She also conducts research and synthesizes her findings for the Encyclopedia of Global Ethnolinguistic Conflict, and she serves as a University Ambassador, where she gives in-person and online tours of the University. Passionate about her country and service to others, she plans to attend law school, with the ultimate goal of working for the United States Government or a non-profit in a legal capacity.
Jordyn Moehrle - The Little Things
She is a sophomore undergraduate student at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, studying International Business and Accounting. On campus, she spends her free time serving over 4,000 women as the Vice President of Administration and Finance for the University of South Carolina's College Panhellenic Association where she has the opportunity to put her business coursework into action by managing an operating budget of over $430,000. Additionally, she enjoys giving tours to prospective students, alumni, and donors as a Student Ambassador at the Darla Moore School of Business, serving as a Resident Mentor, and participating in both a social sorority and professional business fraternity on campus. Having grown up on a farm, is passionate about the forces that dictate global market prices and is interested in pursuing a career in international trade where she can continue to grow and better herself in the realm of international markets.
Morgan Gittings - Meet New People, Explore New Worlds
She is a sophomore undergraduate student in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, studying International Business with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain. Additionally, she is minoring Spanish and plans to one day work abroad, specifically in Spain or Latin America. Beyond the classroom, she is a member of Women in Business Council, developing professionally alongside a group of like-minded and like-spirited women. Her time outside of the classroom is spent organizing book drives for her social sorority, Pi Beta Phi Fraternity, and providing entertainment throughout the university and local community as a member of Carolina Club Dance. Currently, is an Operations Attendant at the university's Russel House Student Union. In the summer of 2020, had the opportunity to intern at American Trailhead LLC., a startup business engaged in professionalizing the Hunting and Target Shooting industries. Throughout her internship, explored step by step the process of transforming an idea into a reality, while adapting to a completely new industry.

Originally from Eagle River, WI she is an academically focused sophomore in the Darla Moore School of Business, double majoring in International Business and Management, with a minor in Spanish, do not be afraid to say ¡Hola! As an active student on campus she is sure to be able to inform you about her experiences from her sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, Green Greeks, Carolina Mountaineering and White-Water Club, and Intramural sports. She hopes to spend a semester in either Chile or Argentina learning about their cultures and business practices!
Nayeli Lahiri - anything can be an adventure
She is an honors student at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, studying International Business, Finance, and Operations and Supply Chain. She is minoring in Chinese Studies and hopes to study abroad in Singapore. As the the Director of Marketing at the Gamecock Pantry and peer financial consultant at the Student Success Center, she hopes to create tangible impact in her community. After working on student consulting projects with GlassWRX and Bridges for Enterprise, she hopes to continue finding creative solutions to organizational problems by pursuing a career in management consulting. She hopes to be staffed on a consulting project where her niche knowledge in olympic fencing comes in handy.

She is curious why things are as they are and how she will further develop them. She wants to understand how people think, and she lights up when she finds fresh perspective. In pursuit of these, is a sophomore studying International Business, Economics, and Spanish at the University of South Carolina Honors College. She is placing herself in roles that connect her with people and with processes, keeping active across the Peer Writing Lab, Shandon College Ministry, Gamecock Consulting Club, Women in Business Council, and the Gamecock Pantry. Long-term, she will amplify, refine, and direct her clients' visions as a strategic management consultant in Chicago-adjacent Illinois.
Lauren Hoggan - The Back Cover Summary
She is from Alpharetta, Georgia, and from the very beginning had a love and passion for Marketing. Learning from her mother, who built the American marketing branch of the German company Hansgrohe, was exposed to international marketing communications from a young age. Currently studies International Business and Marketing with minors in Spanish and Advertising / Public Relations. This degree caters to her long term goal of working in the publishing industry as a global CMO. As a global CMO, she plans to market the next generation of readers their new favorite book. Her minor in Spanish is the beginning of her journey with languages as she hopes to learn various languages in the future. She is actively involved in a social sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, serving as the chapter's Vice President of Chapter Wellness to further her interpersonal and event planning skills. Currently works for Novità Communications as a part time Account Assistant, working with the American branch of multinational companies such as Duravit AG, Fisher & Paykel, Dometic, and AMEICO. Through her time with the company, she has developed professional writing skills, sat in on international product debuts, and press previews for well-known magazines VERANDA and House Beautiful. She is from Richmond Virginia and is currently a sophomore in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. Her majors are Finance and International Business and her minors are French and Data Analytics. With these majors, hopes to secure a future in investment banking or any Finance career that allows her to work abroad. Having had lived in France for part of her high school career, has a deep passion for the country and the language. While at the University of South Carolina she hopes to study abroad in either Singapore or Morocco. Outside of academics is involved in a social sorority, a professional business fraternity, and enjoys international cooking.
Laisa Auntunes Machado - La vie est belle
She is from a small town in Brazil. She moved to the state's capital at the age of 12 in order to study in a better school, and after high school she moved to the United States to study at the University of South Carolina. Currently she is a sophomore pursuing a degree in International Business and Operations and Supply Chain. She chooses to have no minor so she can explore different subjects during her college years. In her junior year she was planning to study in Italy, at Bocconi University, and use the opportunity to explore other countries in Europe. However, after the third IBUS class she is no longer sure. She loves the fields she chose to study and looks forward to building a career as a Logistic Manager of International Operations. Recently she had the opportunity to spend time in her family business and to gain some practical experience in the managerial side of business. She is very passionate about life, connecting with people, natural landscapes, and traveling to different places.
