Refers to the programs that perform specific tasks such as work processing, database management, or accounting.

Refers to the use of technology to create product styles and designs.

Artificial intelligence

Software that enables computers to reason, learn, and make decisions.

Piracy

Stealing or illegally copying software packages or information.

Central Processing Unit (CPU)

The control center of the computer.

Hardware

The physical elements of a computer system are called the hardware. Examples are keyboards, cameras, microphones, etc.

Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI)

The use of computers to help people learn or improve skills at their own pace.

Operating system software

Translates commands and allows application programs to interact with the computer's hardware.

Computer network

What computers in businesses and in schools are commonly linked together in.
