Irregular - Plural nouns: Old Plural Forms
A few nouns use old plural forms, changing vowels or adding -en instead of forming their plurals in the regular way. Example: Man = Men

Regular plurals are formed by
adding s or es to the singular form of the noun
Irregular - Plural nouns
are plural noun forms that do not add -s or -es. Instead, these nouns form their plurals in a variety of ways.

nouns end with -o, (after vowel)
cameo + s = cameos patio + s = patios rodeo + s = rodeos To form the plural of most nouns ending in o after a vowel, simply add s.

Changing -Y to -ies
family + es = families fly + es = flies change the y to i and add es.

knife + s = knives life + s = lives wife + s = wives change the f to v and add s.
nouns ending in -lf and -eaf
leaf + es = leaves thief + es = thieves wolf + es = wolves change the f to v and add es.
