Why don't plants cells have lysosomes?

In animals cells lysosomes get rid of cell waste by digesting it, but in plants vacuoles do this job?

What is cellular respiration?

a process that both animal and plant cells carry out in which biochemical energy from nuctrients is converted to energy (ATP) that the cell can use.

What are the differences between plant and animals cells?

Animal cells don't have a cell walls or chloroplasts, and have only small vacuoles if at all. Plant cells do not have lysosomes.

Why are vacuoles not present or else very small in animal cells?

Animal cells have lysosomes to do the main work of digesting waste in the cell, so only some animal cells needs vacuoles to aid in transport (exocytosis and endocytosis).

Why don't animal cells have chloroplasts?

Animals cells do not carry out photosynthesis.

How is cellular respiration in plant cells different from cellular respiration in animal cells?

Plant cells use light energy, carbon dioxide, and water to produce oxygen and glucose, while in animals cells oxygen is used to break down glucose and release energy and caron dioxide.

Why don't animal cells have cell walls?

Plants need cell walls to give shape and support. Animals have special tissues such as bone and cartilage that give shape and support, so individual cells don't need to.
