The cell bodies of the neurons are located in the cranial nerve nuclei, and the sacral portion of the spinal cord. Neurotransmitter is acetylcholine.

Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS)

Main function is to control the body's response during a perceived threat (fight or flight). The cell bodies of the neurons are located in the lumbar and thoracic regions of the spinal cord. Neurotransmitters are norephinehrine, epinephrine, and acetylcholine.

Pupil constriction.

Stimulates digestive and urinary functions.
