Quotes Shakespeare; home is called the "Shadow Gallery" and is filled with books and art; kills ruthlessly and leaves signatures of V in a circle and a violet carson rose; was in room five at Larkhill Resettlement Camp in 1993; systematically eliminating everyone who worked at the Larkhill camp (he started a garden there); escaped by making mustard gas and napalm. He saves Evey from the Fingermen
Alistar "Ally" Harper
Scottish organized crime boss who kills Evey's lover Gordon. Initially, Creedy hires him and his men to temporarily bolster the police force after V destroys the government's surveillance equipment, but Helen Heyer recruits him to her side to ensure Creedy's downfall by offering to place him in charge of the Finger after Conrad comes to power. However, Conrad beats him to death with a wrench, but Ally fatally slices Conrad's neck with a razor.
Derek Almond
Speaks for the Fingermen (police). He is responsible for finding V. Blames his wife for their lack of physical connection and threatens to kill her. He tells V that his knives and fancy moves are no match against his gun, but he forgot to load it, and V kills him.
Eric FInch
Speaks for the Nose (investigation department, which does physical evidence) In other words, he is the chief of New Scotland Yard and Minister of Investigations. Working the whole V case, show up at each crime scene and makes the connection from V to Larkhill.
Peter Creedy
Takes over for Almond at the Finger and finds V impressive. He wants to replace Adam Susan as the Leader; however, as a part of Mrs. Heyer's plot, Harper's thugs kill him.
Bunny Ethridge
Speaks for the Ears (audio surveillance, phone taps, etc.) He always seems nervous, using "uhs" a lot. Dies in the explosion at the Tower that V sets off.
Conrad Heyer
Speaks for the Eye (visual surveillance). His wife dominates him and is controlling him to put him in the Leader's place when he finally cracks for good. V sends him a videotape of his wife (Helen) being unfaithful and he snaps, killing her lover (Harper) but he get fatally injured by Harper's razor (yes, his wife finds out and is so ticked off that she leaves him to bleed to death→sets up a video camera so he can watch himself die).
Sara
Valerie's girlfriend. Met her on the set of The Salt Flats. Was tortured with cigarette ends into giving Valerie up and was forced to sign a statement saying Valerie seduced her. She later killed herself in her cell, unable to live with what she did to Valerie.
Lewis Prothero
Voice of Fate; Collects dolls and says the average citizen wouldn't appreciate them. He was also in the military; was the Commander at Larkhill camp and is more frightened of V when he learns V was the man in room five. V burns his doll collection and is in shock, mind broken, when returned to Jordan Tower.

Bishop Lilliman
voice of the Party in the Church. Corrupt priest who molests young girls; worked at Larkhill. V kills him after he almost rapes Evey (forces him to take communion with a cyanide-laced wafer).
Leader, Adam Susan
man with all the power. Believes in destiny and survival of the Nordic Race and is a fascist. Believes in England and strength in unity. Feels deep love for Fate and has never been with a woman
Dominic Stone
Inspector Finch's partner. He only works as an officer in the Nose due a sense of dedication to his country and due to any political affiliation to the Norsefire Party. He becomes the head of the Nose when Finch disappears and turns down Creedy's officer of cooperation between the Nose and the Finger. Figures out that V has access to Fate and knows every move the Head makes. When Finch leaves London he leaves him in charge. Evey saves him and takes him to the Shadow Gallery.
Delia
Larkhill camp doctor whom V kills by lethal injection. She feels remorse towards her actions and apologizes to V during her final moments of life.
Fingerman
Police detail who are able to do what they want with offenders before killing them
Fate
The Leader's love, his "god". At times it seems Fate is a person but later rambling by the Leader suggests Fate is a computer or his console of monitors. Fates "voice" is a radio news broadcast done by Lewis Peothero.
Helen Heyer
Wife of Conrad Heyer. Uses sex and her superior intellect to keep her husband in line because she has her own goal of her husband becoming Leader. But, she sleeps with Harper and turns him against Creedy.
Roger Dascombe
Works at Jordan Tower (main communications building). Develops a relationship with Rosemary Almond after her husband dies. V puts his clothes on him so that the police shoot him, thinking it is V.
Gordon
Evey's boss; criminal who specializes in bootlegging. Evey stays with him after V abandons her in Book II. They eventually develop a relationship, but he is later murdered by Alistair Harper (a gangster).
Evey Hammond
16 years old; used to live on Shooters Hill with her mother and father; only child; mother died in 1991 and her father was taken away when she was 12 for his past socialist affiliation; V saves her from the Fingermen. Novel details her life story: from the beginning to how she becomes V's successor.
Rosemary almond
Abused wife of Derek Almond. After Almond's murder, she becomes depressed and turns to Roger Dascombe (whom she hates) for support. After Dascombe's death, she is forced to become a showgirl at the Kitty-Kat Keller. Buys a gun and kills Adam Susan, but her fate is unknown because the last thing we see is her being interrogated by Fingermen.
Dennis
Assistant to the bishop. V shoots him
Valerie Page
Author of the letter Evey finds in the hole in her cell. Actress who was imprisoned at Larkhill when the government found out she was a lesbian; first girlfriend's name is Sara. Her tragic fate at the hands of the regime inspires V to fight against the Norsefire. She starred in The Salt Flatts and met Ruth while filming. She gives Evey hope that she can survive her imprisonment. She was the woman in Room 4, next to V.
