What kind of ballots are there?

There are hole punch ballots and computer scanning ballots. The computer ones are much more accurate then the hole punch ones. This was founded when many states were upgrading to computer scanned ballots and there were many malfunctions with the hole punch ballots Absentee ballots allow those who are sick or know they will not be there to fill out a ballot before election day

How the voting goes

You need to get your signature checked and make sure that you are eligible and then they sign your paper and give it back to you. You hand the application form to the election judge and then you vote under protection of safety and privacy from the judge.

"Butterfly Ballot"

A ballot in 2000 where Floridians were confused that the rival candidates were placed side to side and not vertically. This ballot proved that many machines were more reliable and that you should always read the ballot carefully.

After all the votes have been counted, they take the ballots and results to the election board (this is called returns)

Why was there some reluctance to reform to support Campaign financing? What groups were most in favor of this reform?

Because there was a lot of money being thrown into the campaigns and for there to be more money allowed to be thrown in, that means more stuff will be able to be done. This favors bigger and better candidates who will reel in more money over lesser candidates and third party candidates.
