This March was to a beach where Indians were not allowed to get salt and this March gained many followers so the result was successful. Gandhi picked up the salt from the beach and everything Else was allowed to use the salt.

The international day of nonviolence

This is a holiday but the UN Gen. assembly he created in honor of Gandhi's nonviolent tactics. This day is celebrated on October 2 Gandhi's birthday.
