A benefit of Classroom

After posting the assignment, the teacher can track who has completed the assignment and who has not, and provide feedback to individual students.

CLASSWORK TAB

Allows teachers to assign classwork. Assignments, Quizzes, Materials, Discussion Questions.

PEOPLE TAB

Allows teachers to invite co-teachers, students, and guardians to the Classroom. Teachers can add and remove people from the class.

STREAM TAB

Allows teachers to post announcements to a class or classes, to all students or particular students. Teachers can attach materials such as videos, images, and documents in the announcements.

SETTINGS TAB

Allows teachers to rename the class, see the class code, adjust the stream setting for the class and enable guardian summaries.

Create a question

Classwork tab, click + CREATE button, choose question.

Add students to a class. Class code and/or email

Click on the People tab, click invite button to add students to a class. Click on the Stream tab, locate the class code found on the banner. Share with students.

Can define classroom and identify a variety of uses for it in the school setting

Designed to help teachers create and collect assignments paperlessly. Assigning work to students triggers the creation of a Google Drive folder for the assignment and sub folders for each student, to keep classwork organized. Teachers can post announcements.

Join a class

Go to App launcher, click Classroom tab than click the plus or add icon in the upper right-hand corner

Create a new class

Go to App launcher, click classroom then Click the plus or add icon to create a class

To Archive a class

Go to Classroom, on the class card, click the 3 dots and select archive

Join Classroom as a teacher

In the People tab, a teacher can click invite a co-teacher to join Classroom as a teacher.

Create a class name

Login to Classroom, create the class and type in the name of the class

View Google calendar in classroom

Need to be in Classwork tab, can be accessed at the top of the Classwork page. Can be found just opposite the CREATE button.

People tab, actions button to email a guardian to see class summaries.

Announcement for class

Stream tab, click "share something with the class", type in an announcement to add an announcement for class and post.

Set a due date for an assignmnet

When assignment open, click on due date, click the arrow to access the calendar to set a due date
