Nutrients that are made naturally in the body. They can also be absorbed through certain foods.

Fat

This nutrient supplies the most energy, protects vital organs and adds flavor to meals. It is stored in the body around muscles bones, and organs.

Protein

This nutrient's function is to build and repairing the body. Examples: meat, eggs, fish, peanut butter

Nutrient

a chemical substance that an organism requires to live. Or any substance in food that the body needs.

Calorie

a unit of heat; a measure of the energy in food

Cholesterol

a waxy substance found in human tissues

Obesity

condition of having excess body fat resulting in being greatly overweight

Plaque

deposits of cholesterol, calcium, and fat that build up in artery walls and can lead to cardiovascular disease

essential nutrients

nutrients necessary for normal body functioning that must be obtained from food

complex carbohydrates

rich in fiber and helps your digestive system work well
