Relative Location

The position of place of a certain item on the surface of the earth as expressed in degrees, minuets, and seconds of latitude and longitude.

Absolute Location

Set the limits of an area or region.

A term that refers to a part of the earth's surface with less specificy than the term region.

Area

The strength of an urban center in its capacity to attract producers and consumers to its facilities; a city's reach into the surrounding region.

Centrality

This is also know as Cultural Ecology-- to explain relationships between human activities and the physical environment in a region, modern Geographers reject environmental determinism in favor of possibilism
